Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Consultation Bookings

1.1 Cancellation by User

Note: The 2-hour cancellation window starts from the time of booking confirmation (payment success), not from the time of the appointment. For example, if you book at 10:00 AM for a 4:00 PM consultation, you can cancel until 12:00 PM for a refund.

1.2 Cancellation by Lawyer

In all cases of cancellation or no-show by the lawyer, you are entitled to a full refund including the platform fee. You must report the no-show within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time by contacting support with your booking reference number.

1.3 Rescheduling

ADLX does not currently support in-app rescheduling. If you wish to reschedule, you must cancel your existing booking (subject to the cancellation policy above) and create a new booking.

2. Subscription Plans (Lawyers)

Subscriptions are non-refundable. Once a subscription payment is processed and the subscription period has begun, no refunds will be issued for unused time in the subscription period.

3. Credits (Lawyers)

Credits are non-refundable. Purchased credits do not expire but cannot be refunded once bought. Credits assigned with a subscription are forfeited if the subscription is not renewed.

4. Notary Services

5. Technical Errors and Double Charges

If you are charged twice for the same transaction due to a technical error, ADLX will issue a full refund for the duplicate charge within 3 business days of verification. Report double charges immediately to support@adlx.in with your payment ID and bank statement screenshot.

Payment failed but amount debited? This is a common issue with UPI and net banking payments. In most cases, the amount is auto-reversed by your bank within 5–7 business days. If it is not reversed, contact support with your payment ID and we will investigate with Razorpay.

6. How to Request a Refund

Gather your details Note your booking reference number (e.g. APT-XXXX-2026), payment ID from Razorpay, and the reason for your refund request.

Contact support Email support@adlx.in or use the in-app Support Chat with subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Reference Number]"

Verification Our team will verify your request within 2 business days and confirm whether it qualifies for a refund under this policy.

Processing Approved refunds are processed via Razorpay to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email.

7. Refund Timeline

These timelines are from the date ADLX initiates the refund. Actual credit to your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

8. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer at grievance@adlx.in. We will review and respond within 15 days.

You may also raise a dispute directly with Razorpay or your bank/card issuer. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting ADLX support may result in suspension of your account.
